Builds 3390/8353/6336
This snapshot is particularly good news for our FreeBSD and Linux users, since it includes fixes to a number of irritating issues. We'd encourage *nix users to scan through the change log below. We have also made builds available on Windows and Mac. Whilst not much has changes for you guys there is a cross platform fix on mail, so if you were experiencing mail crashes this might be a good build to test.
With regards to bigger outstanding issues on UNIX (Plugin performance improvements [including Java], IME, fixes to fonts), these issues are being worked on, however we still need more time before we can share with you the fruits of our labour. Thanks for your patience!

the most convenient way to reproduce this is this, subscribe to a bunch of feeds, wait a while for more feed posts to accumulate, click the feeds section in mail so that you are viewing all posts from all feeds. choose a feed post from any feed. click update. instead of remaining on the selected feed, the selection jumps to whatever feed is selected, meaning the story you were reading gets flipped to whatever new story the highlight lands on.
i didn't see this mentioned anywhere else.
edit: after i had posted this, overnight i had my unread mail messages brought up and one message was selected. it turns out the same thing happens there as well. i was wondering why all of my mail had been labled "no priority" on the side instead of being blank and i put 2 and 2 together to figure that out.

OPERA was fast , but most important it used to FEEL fast because of fast and very responsive User Interface.
But after 10.5 versions , UI sucks. i dont feel fast, synthetic tests doestn bother me. I just want to feel that speed.
opening a new tab now have a couple of hundred miliseconds delay even without that fancy UI animations, when more than 10 tabs are open its more bare.
even writing thisi text . when i type fast enough, caracters follow me tens of miliseconds later. i feel that.
forward and bacward is the same.
9.64 build was lightening fast. immadiate when browsing back and forward the pages. but now. it feels like other browsers.
closing multiple tabs at once, was immadiate in 9 builds but now have delay , and it takes sometimes 1 or 2 seconds to close 15 20 tabs.
compability issues are much more than previous builds for me , especially with domestic web sites.
im user from very very early builds. but this 10.5 versions, even though minor updates never fulfilled my expactations. im using opera just because im used to , no satisfaction, huge regression for me.
clean install , update, changes nothing.
try turning plug-ins off in general and turn it on for desired cases^^
anyway
another regression. i just realized...
opera doesnt catch links from external applications when not running in the background.
you should first run opera and then click to external applications "help" or "about" links to see them on browser otherwise. last used pages appear only when opera runs..
my old password file was from opera 10.2.

Other than that, some other (relatively) small bugs:
- Ctrl + click on an image to save it. Then change the name in the dialog window, but without typing an extension. That produces an extensionless file.

Look at the shots. If I click 'Save' in the first case, everything is okay. But if go on the second way, I have to add the extension myself. - A problem with some of the context menus - when I add an icon to a menu entry, it stops working.
E.g. under [Speed Dial Thumbnail Popup Menu],Item, "Reload" = Reload thumbnail
does work, butItem, "Reload" = Reload thumbnail,,,,"Reload"
doesn't. Same for the rest of the entries under the same section. Can someone confirm? - You all know how images are rendered in Opera - from top to bottom. Larger ones (e.g. wallpapers) seem to stop rendering sometimes at about 10%, other times at about 50. It continues the download (as seen from the progress bar), but the whole image is drawn only after it's fully loaded. This seems to happen both when I open an image in a separate tab and when I view it on a page (e.g. deviantArt).
- Some issues with autocomplete - sometimes I have to type 3-4 characters of a bookmark's name for it to show up - in such case, only the address would appear, but not the title. Another point - typing 'config', 'debug', 'cache' does not show Opera's 'internal' pages like I think it should.
- The search field does not remember its size. I can resize it, but when I close the current tab, it gets back to its default width. Seems to have something to do with panels - with them expanded, the search field shrinks, but closing the panels again resets its size.
