Samsung i8910 HD: Why download page suggests Opera Mini?
Hi, I'm quite happily using Opera Mobile 10 on my Samsung i8910 HD phone. With the huge touchscreen a wonderful experience, especially in full screen mode!However, to get it installed I had to struggle quite a bit: Your website suggests downloading and installing Opera Mini. Why? User experience is way better on this phone with Opera Mobile. Can you explain your decision?

You have to know about the existence of the alternative. Typical users will never continue to click through, therefore probably just install Opera Mini and never use the phone's full potential ... :-(
So you took a different fork in the road, good for you! 
Mobile probably wasn't tested on your model phone by an employee of Opera yet, that's why it's not recommended. Doesn't mean it doesn't work.
