certificate problem?
I'm currently checking our future product on different browsers for "issues." I just uploaded Opera 10.53 on my Windo7 machine. My testing plan is stored on our product on one of our company servers in another site, though my tests are all currently on "localhost". The problem is reaching my testing plan on Opera. First, like other browsers, it complained about the certificate saying it had broken links or similar jargon. I got it to accept the certificate. Now, when I try to access the site, I get:----------------------
Unable to complete secure transaction
You tried to access the address https://wiki.mycompanyname.com/, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the Web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.
Secure connection: fatal error (40) from server.
https://wiki.mycompanyname.com/
Failed to connect to server. The reason may be that the encryption methods supported by the server are not enabled in the security preferences.
Please note that some encryption methods are no longer supported, and that access will not be possible until the Web site has been upgraded to use strong encryption.
------------------------
If this related to the broken links on the Certificate or is this an additional problem?
This is a company website I'm trying to access and STRONG security methods aren't needed for the next couple of years until product rollout. How do I access? Can I?
"Fatal error (40) from server" means that the server responded with a Handshake Failure message, which generally means that the client and server could not agree on the the parameters for the connection, and that it was the server that detected this. Reasons can be no common cipher suites (such as the server only supports the weak 40/56 bit ciphers; if so upgrade), no common versions, and a number of other things. There could be an error message in your server's log about the the problem it detected.
Without being able to actually test the server it is not possible to be more specific.
You might take a look at what encryption the other browsers negotiate.

Hello Yngve,
I have the same problem that muddleglum reported. It happens only at my work, when I try to log in my google account (affects Gmail, docs, maps and so on...)
I tried to log in with a fresh extracted Opera-usb on another PC of the company, and I got the same "Secure connection: fatal error (40) from server." message.
