Opera can no longer view PDF files?
Version 10.53Build 3374
As the title says, really. If I load up a PDF file, a whole load of weird characters come up but no PDF file, whereas prior to this version it worked fine. Additionally, I've uninstalled and reinstalled, yet no luck.

Ah okay, thanks. That seems to work.

could also handle right click menu
Both are vital for many serious users.
This sort of problem MUST be fixed in the browser.
Dont give me a workaround.
I have been a keen Opera user from the very beginning
now for the first time I find that Opera is the most useless
of the 4 browsers that I regularly use.
Opera seems to have lost the plot.
Who just retired?
What new manager or policy has just been introduced?

The PDF problem wasn't a workaround, it was a setting that for some reason was wrong. I never view PDF and so have never had a reason to change anything, yet i could view this file no probs. I can also rightclick, so opera hasn't just lost this functionality either. What HAS happened is that someone who couldn't view PDF came into the forums and politely asked how to fix their problem, and it was fixed, then someone else turned up in the same thread and, instead of following the example of the OP, just started bitching and moaning. Guess whos problem ain't gonna get fixed

I don't know what right-click issue you're talking about, but its off-topic in this thread.

When is 10.54 coming out - because I can't seem to follow your instructions there? I only get one option - "Foxit reader plugin for Mozilla". Mozilla? Meanwhile trying to download a pdf file just totally froze up Opera.

Foxit Reader doesn't have a plugin for Opera, but the plugin for Mozilla Firefox can be made to work I believe. PDF-XChange does have a plugin for Opera that is fully customisable separately from the standalone viewer. Adobe Reader 9.3.2 needs to be installed to see the Adobe Reader plugin.
