encryption question

Opera Mobile 10 has end to end encryption, whereas mini5 and 4.2 do not. Is this correct?

It's correct. Opera Mobile is a full browser with HTML support, whereas Opera Mini always uses a special proxy server to render webpages. The link between Mini client and proxy is encrypted however.
