Is it too late for Opera Mini v3 questions?

I'm running version 3 on my Sprint LG Rumor2 and I can't get it to save cookies.
Please don't tell me to try v5, because I can't make heads or tails out of how to operate it.
Thanks

Try v2, sort of mini 3.2 without feeds.

Well, that was interesting. I downloaded it to my PC, but now I cannot open it. So I have no idea how to install it on my phone. Some instructions would be nice. Oh, well...

I know you are trying to be helpful, and I really appreciate it. I downloaded http://mini.opera.com/global/opera-mini-2.04509-advanced-int.jar to my pc, and I have no idea how to get it from my PC into my phone.

I tried Sagrid's suggestion to see if I could load v2 but same result as with previous tries with v3 - error code "905 - attribute mismatch". The phone is a Samsung SPH- M300 which the Opera site says should be Ok with v3 basic. Suggestions?

I know you said not to suggest this, but after a 13 post thread, perhaps figuring out v5 might be an easier path...

@rea426 Opera Mini v3 still works for browsing but has issues with logging in on certain websites(probably cookie issues) and is not being developed anymore by the Opera team, so its recommended you try a later version, if your phone supports it.
