New Flters not showing count
Version 10.53Build 3374
Platform Win32
System Windows XP
Finally got around to tidying up my Received inbox by creating a bunch of new Filters. All the emails (I have multiple accounts BUT I always view "All accounts" in everything I do) are correctly filtered BUT the count of the emails in the Filter folder does not appear. (Others do but not all the new ones.)
To earlier ones are like this:
LazyDBA (1)
all the new ones have not (nnn) after them.
I have tried setting the "Mail Database Consistency Check Time" preference in opera:config#Mail to 0 (and restarted) but it doesn't work. Any help appreciated.
regards
Simon

Even if you mark a message in one of the filters as unread?

I guess I can't have a total number rather than the number unread?
When you click on the filter to open up its message list, look on the mail toolbar. It'll say (n unread, n total).
That's true but I normally visually scan the filters in the mail pane looking for mail. I also want to know how many. It would be nice to have (5 unread, 456 total) against each filter folder in the mail pane but I guess it ain't going to happen and I can live without it.
Thanks again for all your help.

Well, for now, try this:
Open up a message list, right-click on the mail toolbar and goto appearance. Then, drag the "(n unread, n total) button to the mail panel next to the search field for example. Then, as you switch filters/access point/views, it'll update accordingly. Also, in appearance, if you need to wrap something to the next line, goto buttons -> spaces and add a wrapper. You can use the wrapper so the (n unread, n total) button isn't on the same line as the search field (when it's short enough to not wrap on its own).
