Opera Mini 5 - Maemo version in the works?
Hi there.I recently downloaded and installed the unofficial release of Opera Mobile 10 for Maemo. It has since become my browser of choice for Wifi/3G connections.
Opera Mini is still the best for 2G and slower connections, currently this is run through Java and MicroEmulator due to the lack of J2ME support on Maemo devices.
Is there an outside chance that we might see a Maemo-native version of Opera Mini 5 at some point?
If this is not the case then as a feature request for future versions of Opera Mobile, that it should include an Opera Mini 'mode' - while Opera Turbo tries to optimise images, it is still very slow to do so in comparison to Opera Mini.

Sorry to bump this topic but I am curious to know if the Opera Mini devs are considering porting a native version to MeeGo / Maemo / N900?
