content transfer encoding problem, base64 vs. 8bit
I use opera to sync two Gmail account, both of them are having the same setting on the account property dialogue, send mail in utf-8, using plain text. Also the same on web setting of the Gmail. But the mail sent from one of them is encoded with base64, while the other one with 8bit.I am quite confused. What should I do if I want to force Opera using 8-bit?
Life is very short and there's no time,
for fussing and fighting my friend.

Help -> About Opera will tell you the location of the mail folder.
Close down Opera and edit accounts.ini in the mail folder. Edit the section for the accountN in question.
Look for things like:
Charset=utf-8
and
Force Charset=0
Allow 8Bit Headers=0
Allow 8Bit Transfer=0
Make sure charset is set to what you want. And, set Allow 8bit Transfer to 1. Set Allow 8bit Headers to 1 too if needed. But, I think transfer is all your need, but I don't remember. You can force the charset too if yo want.
Just remember that you changed these things. And, if you experience a problem later, revert these to see if clears up that problem before thinking its a bug.
