All mails lost (folder "in", "sent", "filtered")

Hi,

ok, now in English...

after a crash of Windows7 and Reboot I noticed that no mails are shown any more in "In", "Sent" and "filtered" folders. I use Opera 10.51.

When showing Opera:config in browser and search for "mail" I can find reasonable settings, for "Mail Root Directory" it is C:\Users\Volkmar\AppData\Local\Opera\Opera\mail\

In subfolders I can find lots *.mbs files containing mail text (I think). So I think that settings are ok and also mail files are present but for some reason they are not found/shown... Maybe some special settings file is damaged.

Can somebody help? Is there a way to get back the mails?

Regards
Volkmar

I'm sorry, I think you might do better in one of the mail forums. Are you using Opera Web Mail, or M2, the mail client?

Hi,

I found a solution to recover the mails.

There is a possibility to import mails from mbox files. I copied my mail folder to a temp folder and specified this folder as import folder. All mails from subfolders where imported successfully. Now I can see the mails in folders "in" and "sent". But I have lost the association to filtered folders (the mails are not shown there according to my associations from the past).

Somebody knows where this association is stored? Do I have a chance to recover this also somehow?

You could do a forum search, "lost all emails"... smile
