Opera 10.53 Divx and Performance problems [NEED HELP]

I have used Opera almost for the last decade and have never ever thought about using another browser.

However, since the release of 10.50 I seriously have become dissatisfied. I have 2 huge problems:

1. Opera isn't able anymore to stream divx movies properly. There are lots of different errors. First of all the divx plugin doesn't always load and I am supposed to restart Opera. Second if the video starts my computer heats up like crazy, sometimes freezes. Third, even when I can continue to load at one point Opera always crashes, leaving the Opera.exe still active and I have to close it manullay through the task manager. Memory usage by Opera at that point is like 1.5 GB). I tried several things to fix that like reinstalling everything (Opera, divx web player), cleaned the registry, etc. It simply doesn't work.

2. And that makes me really angry: Performance sucks like hell. Just opening new tabs (the third or fourth, not the 20th) sometimes makes it freeze for seconds. Watching several movies on youtube makes it freeze for seconds. It doesn't matter if it's streaming, simply flash or just a website. The performance is inaceptable for me and not comparable to the past. Seriously: I thought about reinstalling a prior 10.5 version or switching to another browser.

My question now: Can I fix that and if yes how? [System: Win7 Professional 64bit, Kaspersky Internet Security up2date, latest flash, divx, whatever]

Minor problem: Opera 10.53 on Win Vista Home Premium 32bit with Kaspersky cannot print webpages.
