Long standing problems with Flash in Opera and keyboard input

I've been running the Release Canidate of Flash 10.1 for awhile, I have RC4 installed at the moment. I also have experienced this in all versions of Opera upto 10.54 build 3390 on Windows 7-bit x64 with all updates. I also have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670 with CATALYST 10.4 WHQL driver, if that matters (possible, due to the new hardware Flash acceleration in ATI's drivers and the Flash RC's).

Now the problem I have is that I'm unable to enter input in most Flash applications I find on the web. I can highlight the field, and the cursor blinks, but it doesn't recognize any keyboard input/text input whatso ever (but Tabbing around and Copy/Paste work). A few examples of where this happens is the file uploader on megaupload.com and Sprint's 4G EVO contest which uses Flash to get sign up info.

I don't know if it's specifically linked to hardware acceleration, or the flash RC, I don't know that any version of Flash works. These are just the versions I'm using.

Could you post the image on your My Opera pages? I don't have a Facebook account. Nor do I desire one.

I did some more testing.

With Flash 10,0,45,2 you can enter text input, however if you right-click the Flash app and choose "Settings'" you're unable to navigate with the mouse.
With Flash 10,1,53,38 (latest pre-release, RC4) you cannot enter text input, and like above it doesn't recognize mouse clicks when you open the settings menu.

FURTHER MORE, half the time when you load Flash content with 10.1 installed, Opera will stop responding to mouse clicks if you are trying to do something outside of the page with Flash, like you can't change tabs or anything, possibly related to highlighting text and copy/paste...

Anybody that can reproduce these problems, can you please post your hardware and software configuration? Especially OS, graphics adapter/driver ver, and Opera version.. maybe we can find a similarity between systems that Flash isn't working properly on.

Wanted to give an update, Adobe has acknowledged the text input problem with Flash 10.1 and it is being looked into. They weren't able to reproduce the settings manager problem on their system so we need more people to report it with their system configuration so we can find the cause.

This bug depends on what flash application you actually use (not the plugin version)... Settings dialog problem does not exist on youtube.com, but is present on gametrailers.com... Same with text input...

I'll try RC6 right now...

No, it still does not work well... At least on gametrailers.com... Youtube flash player works fine...
Anyway, keyboard input and settings dialog works in krpano on http://www.360cities.net for example (arrow keys for movement and input fields on "Share" screen)

Flash support is really broken since 10.5...
UPD: My feeling is that Opera somehow does not handle right-click inside flash content correctly... If you right-click on such bugged flash and then try to operate other interface elements (tabs, buttons) it will not work... Moreover, if you right-click in flash (not hold) and then move mouse somewhere and click outside flash, sometimes it triggers mouse gesture...

I noticed that too. Load certain flash apps and left-click starts acting like the back button, even in the program bars. anyone from Opera care to comment / acknowledge the input problems?
