Opera suddenly slower since 10.53
My title is not quite true for all circumstances its just on a few web pages and their links that things have become infuriatingly slow- particularly the Guardian newspaper where i can wait up to a minute before it loads - any ideas please. Have tried going back to previous versions of opera but doesn't seem to help ...thanksThe Guardian Newspaper is loading instantly here.

I've noticed this: there's an 8-10 second pause after you click on a link on guardian.co.uk before the page starts loading in 10.53. The trick seems to be to click the link and then wait with a seemingly unresponsive Opera until something starts happening.
The source of the links looks fairly standard and Wireshark shows that there's nothing coming out of Opera for 10 seconds after the link is clicked, so I'm thinking that maybe there's a background script running that Opera's JS objects to in some way.
Edit: Yes, turn off JS for the site and everything responds normally.
Another edit: That's right-click, Edit Site Preferences..., scripting tab and untick 'Enable JavaScript'. Still doesn't tell us what's causing the problem though.
Update: 10.53.3374 on XP sp3 has the problem. 10.53b1 (6330) on Linux behaves normally.
