Missing 'main bar'

Have changed computers and started again with Opera 10.53. But now missing main toolbar where I can access preferences, options and tools. Also where there is heading 'file' 'view' etc.

Also see no place for importing bookmarrks. I stored them on an html file from previous computer.

I've tried every place that I see access possibilities but no luck. Also have removed and re-installed.

Anyone? Thanks.

You can import bookmarks either from "File->Import and Export" or "The O Menu->Settings->Import and Export", but I don't think there's possibility to import them directly from an html file.

thanks - but that's my problem - I can't get any 'upper toolbar' which has any of the FILE VIEW TOOLS etc. headings - I'm cut off from any control of Opera.

CTRL+SHIFT+B. Under "File.." try importing the html file as Firefox bookmarks. If this doesnt work you can just open the HTML file and use the link panel. CTRL+SHIFT+L. Select the links and click bookmark.

tks Naitz - been fooling with this stuff for 15+ years but never came across such a major change without the 'changer' making the change very prominently shown. IMO the Opera folks surely have done a good job of hiding it (listed under 'tips' - WOW - I had RIGHT clicked the Opera logo - didn't think to do normal 'click'))

Ok - now that have access - will work on the bookmarks - they are on a different computer so have to use transfer via a file. I thought Opera read html - but now seems only exports such. Will try to create an .adr file and import.

thanks all!

Just open the html file via CTRL+O!
