Opera Mini 5 beta for Windows Mobile not functioning correctly
I just today was able to download Opera Mini 5 beta for Windows Mobile to my Pocket PC, an iPaq 111. I went to netaddress.com, my online email acct and had numerous problems with the web pages. The netaddress web page after I log in, has what I think is called "frames" (different parts of the web page have mini windows and each mini frame/window has a scroll bar on the right side to navigate up and down that mini window). I was unable to move within those frames/windows. I was able to touch the screen and move the whole page around, but not within the frame or mini-window.
Also, when I clicked some buttons within the page, I was not taken to that new page.
Is this typical of Opera Mini 5 beta?

My own personal site uses frames. Mini 5 for WM displays the content and layout fine, but the frames cannot be scrolled independently; the whole page moves around, and I think that's what you meant. Also, the borders cannot be dragged to resize the frames. Nevertheless, everything on my site is still easily accessible in Mini 5.
BTW, I've noticed the same behavior in Opera Mobile 10 and earlier versions. In fact, most of the mobile browsers I've tried could not resize frames, obviously because dragging the screen is used for scrolling and panning.
You are correct the frames cannot be scrolled independently--I did not attempt to drag the borders to resize the frames within the page.
I have tried both the "socket" and "html" methods.
Reopening cost 2s with Opera Mini 4 and 1s or less with v5. Keeping enabled the sync link I think there is no difference between socket and HTTP protocol regarding connection delay (or latency) but still the socket will be more responsive because can work without a wap gateway.
