I would like to see a setting for cookies to control which sites can retrieve them
With Facebook opting users into sharing their data with any number of sites--even if you attempt to opt out--I would greatly appreciate if Opera helped us take control on our own terms.Just an example: I was on a site called Livestream the other day which does access one's Facebook cookie. Of course, Facebook offers no recourse over this. Even though I specifically unchecked the option about 'sharing my information with select partners' they will evidently share it anyway. Naturally, livestream.com != facebook.com, so it would be lovely if I could go into alt+tools+preferences and find the cookie, then click a box that says to share it only with that site. This way whenever I visit livestream.com in the future to chat with my friends, it would be prevented by my browser from even detecting that I possess a Facebook account--which is the way it should be.
That's absurd, so I'm expected to adjust settings for every single website throughout the perpetuity of the internet in order to prevent them from reading the one cookie on my PC.
Because the _simpler_ way would be to just set the cookie, like I said in the first place.
By the way, I just found another site tonight that does the same exact thing. This time it's a smaller news site that I found randomly. So again, I renew my request because it's very annoying and Facebook are never going to do anything about it.

A Google developer released something exactly as I was wanting: http://business2press.com/2010/10/22/google-engineer-develops-facebook-disconnect-to-block-facebook-connect/
If only Opera would do it too.
