Could some sort of text recovery ever possibly be implimented into a future Opera update?
This is more or less a begging for the developers of Opera.I think it's great the way that opera stores your sessions and you can bring up all the same pages you were previously at, when something goes wrong. One problem though, and I'm sure it's one many share much frustration with. The loss of text, when your browser unexpectedly crashes, freezes, or when your computer just locks up.
I can't count the amount of times I've been typing out something lengthy and elaborate, sort of a like a post of this nature, only to have it completely wiped out when something unexpectedly goes wrong. It's so frustrating!
Is there any way to possibly have the browser auto-save your text, the way that word processors do, to prevent a loss if something were to blow up in your face?
I think this is a desperate issue that needs to be looked at. Sorry, if this has been addressed before, but I didn't find a topic like it.
Use the email composer for writing long posts. Copy and paste the text when you're done, and then discard the draft (or, indeed, keep it as a backup if you wish).
Of course, this request has been made many times before. I don't know how feasible it is, but search the wish-list for previous threads on this and add a comment there.
