Latest Opera (10.53) does not do roll-overs in full screen mode.

(This is a repost of a topic that supposedly lacked clarity.)

Pesala comments: "Without a proper report, there is little we can do to help, unless someone happened to run into the exact same problem and recognizes it from your very poor description. At least we need a link to a site with "rollovers" that don't work in fullscreen."

For an example of a site where "rollovers" don't work in fullscreen, try this very page. This page uses "rollovers" (when the mouse rolls over "home" or "community" tabs in the header they turn white or highlight. These actions don't work when you are in full screen mode.

Hope this helps.

You could have edited the thread title by editing your first post, but never mind. The rollovers are working fine here in fullscreen mode and windowed mode. Disabling Javascript makes no difference here, but it might on some sites. What OS are you using since it might be relevant? (Adding some basic info to your forum signature is helpful).

I'm running the latest OSX (snow leopard) on an intel macbook pro. Is it a javascript issue? I'm not sure I understand your comment about disabling javascript. Do the rollovers on this site not use javascript?

There's nothing unusual about my computer set-up. In fact it's pretty standard in the mac world. So I was surprised to see the rollovers not working in fullscreen mode. And I tried several sites.

I'm surprised that no one else has noticed this problem, particularly since it exists with Opera's own web site.

Because it isn't a problem for anyone else.

Works fine for me.

Maybe we don't understand what you're expecting.

There must be someone out there using Opera on Mac OS Snow Leopard, the same skin, and the same preference settings. There is a slim chance that they will pass by within the next six months and see this thread — one with a meaningful title has about ten times more chance of being noticed than one called “Why won't Opera fix this problem? Please help”

Better yet, he may want to repost it (with a good title) in the Opera for Mac forum where he would be even more likely to find a Mac user who could confirm his problem (if it is Mac-specific). I would move this thread, but with the current title and all the side discussion it didn't seem appropriate.

I think it should be obvious by now that this is a problem only on the mac platform. That means, as I am using the latest OS on the platform, that it would occur on pretty much every current Apple/Macintosh product.

This problem did not exist at all prior to version 10.53 of Opera.

@Sgunhouse: What is wrong with this title?
