Unix command line

I try to use Opera as my default email client on Ubuntu.

I must use a command line (opera -remote "openComposer()" + ?!)to indicate that when I click on a file to send, I must use Opera mail :

But I am not able to recover recipient and/or attachment.

If it exists, what is the correct syntax ?

Do Opera must have a command line to send an email with specific values for recipient and attachment ?

Opera doesn't support this on Windows. Not sure about *nix. I think all you can do is use:

opera ""

to pass a mailto URI to Opera. I don't think there's an attachment-location supported for the mailto URI or on the command line to tell Opera what file to attach. But, maybe someone that uses Opera on *nix can say for sure.

On a side, see http://www.opera.com/support/kb/view/472/ for details of what Opera can pass to other clients just in case you need that info too.

Hello burnout426,

Thanks a lot for your help !

I have made some test starting from your example and, you know what, it's even simpler : opera %s works to recover the recipient (but no way to have the attachment mad ) !

Thanks for the link too, it's great to know how to interact on *nix and Opera.
