Is this perhaps a local custom perhaps there that women don't interrupt men? If so in comparison it would be a brave man here that would try and shut a woman up. The question would have been more internationally relevant if the point had been about children interrupting adults than women and men?

The better question would be "Is it right for men to determine when others should or should not speak?"

at this whole thing. It's rude for anyone to talk while someone else is talking. If you mean a woman is less respected than a man then you are wrong. Everyone deserves fair treatment.

Basically the idea that there is anything inhertiently different then men and women (other then biology) is nonsense and it's amazing how much people go out of their way in studies to try and prove different when studies that show the 'inconvenient truth' for capitalism that differences in men and women are simply social get ignored. But capitalism basically through the institution of family as it exists is a complex system of in which men command women's services. And like racism sexism helps maintain the capitalism system because it devides the masses, which people seem very good at from deviding over country, to city, to football team to different parts of town! When I was a kid I had the audacity to have a friendly conversation with a player on the opposing team. This one idiot team mate of mine went all "why the @#$#@$#@$ are you talking to the opposing team" or some such. I've never understood this kind of thing.
