Add "always go to internal server" to preferences

At work, we have an internal DNS and a lot of internal servers, like http://phonebook or http://calendar etc. Prior to 10.5, it would just be enough to type 'phonebook' into the address bar, and it would open the page. If outside our network, it'd throw an error page.

Now with 10.53, it keeps doing a google search for the word I enter. If it can be resolved as server name, a bar appears that asks me "did you mean http://calendar?" - I can then click "yes" and it'd take me to the page, but that gets annoying quickly. It would be nice to have a setting in the preferences where you could choose to always go to http://<the word> if it can be resolved, without asking further questions. Some others might prefer that this bar doesn't appear at all because they want to search that way.

I, however, prefer to google for things with "g search_term" and to go to internal servers by just typing their name. As of 10.5, this seems no longer possible (except I type http:// in front of it).

If I add a nick name to a local host address, it opens just fine. Presumably the same will work for internal server addresses. For example, I use the nickname "2010" for a PDF file =

The only "good" workaround is to throw a forward slash (/) at the end of it. Though, that key is apparently not easily accessible in some non-US keyboard layouts.

Just the entire searching with Google by default is horrid. And the way the addressbar works now in general. D:

so still no solution for this?
gets irritating if let's say i want to go to hello.com, i used to be able to go there by just typing hello and pressing enter. now i have to either press ctrl+enter or let it search and then click on the link.
