How can I remove my Opera account and/or name under Google Search.
Dear Opera Forum Community.I wanted to know if anybody out there, an Opera Forums official perhaps.....
Could help me with this issue.
I've had my Opera account since I downloaded the Internet Channel on the Wii
(This was in July of 2007)
I have just logged in to it today. after 3 years of leaving it un-touched.
I had a conversation with my friend who told me a bit about how even finding your name under a Google Search is pretty revealing.
I know I shouldn't be too worried.
But I am scared of having too much of myself out there, and I would like to delete my Opera account and traces of it on Google.
Or my name to be removed.
I have already changed my privacy details and name on this account as well as other items like my location.
I hope that the Google Engine will update it soon, although I doubt it, but I have done my part as a My Opera account user.
any help would be greatly appreciated
Link that I want to be removed from google:
http://my.opera.com/nxx2/
I would also like to add that my first name is somewhat linked to my Youtube username, anybody could trace it back.
I have 250+ subscribers on youtube, as well as a few 5,000 - 20,000 views in each of my videos on my youtube channel
I have found my old youtube videos and many of my current ones linked to news sites as well as tutorial sites
(I've done Computer tutorials. Stop motions. Piano covers. guitar covers, Game tutorials, piano tutorials, skateboarding videos, video game videos too)
I'm working on removing those from those leeching sites by contacting the website admin, and such.
Any help?
Do you think I have a chance at erasing these traces of myself?

| Nope, what's online is online. Cache copies can easily be found. | 0% | 0 | |

You can request your account to be deleted... which generally seems to take about a week or so... (although you've already done fairly well at stripping it)
Google takes about a month before it really changes stuff... even longer if the pages have had a lot of clicks/hits... but it will eventually remove them from searches if the links are no longer valid. Not sure how Yahoo/Bing/etc really work... since I rarely bother to test them, not to mention the various other cache sites/servers.
But, snippets, quotes, and more static type stuff on pages will likely still remain (ie: other sites/people that have linked to/quoted/etc your account and what it contains) and they can either be unreachable, or tell you to screw off...lol
