Downloaded Opera but does not install
I downloaded Opera 10.53 from the download page, when I click on the "RUN" button, the only thing that happens is a dialogue box with 0% extracting appears and disappears immediately but installation doesn't happen. Any help would be much appreciated as the only browser that works is IE8, Firefox doesnt work/install either. ThanksWhat Operating System are you using? If IE works, but Firefox and Opera both refuse to install, then it's likely one of the following:
1. You are on a limited user account that:
- Doesn't allow the installation of programs.
- Doesn't allow write access to the directories they need.
2. A Strict virus-scanner/firewall, that limits installations in the same way.
3. You're Microsoft Installer (MSI) is older than v3.0.
4. The file has been corrupted in some way, either during download, or afterwards.
5. You have a virus of some kind that is in some way preventing installations.
