checkbox unchecks when enter key is used instead of continuing to the next page
I have several websites that use a checkbox to select the contents of the next page. In most browsers you can mouse click the checkbox and hit the enter key to go to the next page. When I hit the enter key it unchecks the checkbox and toggles the check on successive use of the enter key. Is there a way to change how the browser reacts to the enter key in this situation from an end user point of view? I am not the programmer of these pages. I need a way to change a browser setting. In Preferences, Shortcuts, Keyboard setup, Edit, type "enter" in the Quick find field to see what its assigned to. I found this in the Advanced, Browser Widget context, which may be what you're looking for. The enter key's behaviour is defined there as:
Activate element | Open link
Try changing that to: Open link and see if it fixes the behaviour on that forum, but messes up the behaviour on others.
