default browser
I have Opera 10.53 set as my default browser. Lately, in my emails that have a hotlink to a website, when I try to open it, the website won't open. Opera opens, but goes to the start page and that is it. If I go back to the email hotlink and try again while Opera is open, the website will open.I use Outlook Express and Win XP SP3. I don't remember this happening in Opera 10.10.
Also, when I try to update ccleaner, Opera will open (to the start page) and not go to the ccleaner update site, but then, Internet Explorer will immediately open and go to the ccleaner site. ccleaner says it's an Opera problem.
I don't know if these two issues are related. Any thoughts?
Thank you.
I don't have a solution but I do have a similar problem when using XP Publishing wizard. I click on the go to site button and if Opera's open it does go to the site but if Opera's closed then it just loads my previous tabs and not my website.
A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting.

Thanks for that. I have discovered the email problem seems to only be when somebody sends me a picture, with a link that is from Sprint. Like when they send a picture taken from a cell phone. I have discovered though, if I TRIPLE click the link, it will open normally. Not one or two, but three clicks of the left mouse button.
I have double checked that my default email is OE.
The ccleaner problem still remains.
