Help! Unable to logon to opera mail via the opera browser. New to opera, please help.
Confused.I have an opera email account that ends in (operamail.com). My version info is at the bottom of this message.
Using the mail tab in the opera browser I was able to import my isp emails without a problem.
However, when I setup the operamail.com email account (pop3) using the correct user name/password, I always get invalid login or password. I've tried editing the various authentication settings, each give about the same error. I've even adjusted the port number but still no help.
It seems that I may be missing the big picture on opera mail.
1. Does opera mail allow for pop3.
2. The email account I have with opera (username.operamail.com) is it web mail only, meanig I have to use the web interface (which sucks)?
3. Why would opera provide an email interface via the opera browser to not be able to use the opera email accounts?
Can someone clue me in to what I'm missing, why I can't create a simple email account using opera and access it via the opera browser mail tab?
Does opera only allow for web mail accounts?
Any help and suggestions is appreciated. Have a great day. Thanks

Welcome to the My Opera community!
pop3 access for operamail.com is only activated for premium accounts.
Note though that fastmail.fm (which Opera bought and might use to improve operamail.com at some point) has pop3 (and IMAP) access even with its free service. It's just that you only get 10MB of space.
mail.google.com on the other hand is free, has both pop/imap access and a ton of space.

operamail.com is currently a crappy service anyway. I can't think of a good reason to even use it.
