Map Command + Enter to Open Address Bar in New Tab
Hi,I have tried mapping Enter Command to opening the address typed into the address bar in a new tab, but no matter what combination of actions I try, the link ends up being opened in a background tab. I just want to replicate the functionality of every other modern browser. Does anyone know the proper action chain to enter into the keyboard shortcuts?
Shift+Enter should open in a new tab... Try searching your keystrokes, for "Enter" and deleting the ones you don't want, or modifying an existing one to be Command+Enter.

Shift enter does *not* work, web pages open in the same tab. I have tried removing every Enter Command from the Opera keyboard setup and that does not help either. The command that does work is Command + Shift + Enter, but frustratingly the action for this is "Go", and if I set Command + Enter to "Go," it opens in the background, not the foreground!
Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this problem? I've been finding that modifying the hotkeys in the keyboard preferences is problematic in general...
Disclaimer: Don't use Mac... so not exactly sure what the symbol/text/etc is for "command" in the shortcut/keystroke editor, but this might work:
Also... where are you creating your shortcuts for this? "Application" is generally the safest, since anything in there, should pretty much work where/whenever you use them (if applicable), but in this case, if not in that section, then they should be in "Browser Window", or "Document Window".
Provided it doesn't conflict with any other keystrokes.Enter Command | Focus address field & Copy & New page & Paste and go
