Is there a difference?

Everyone has heard about Jesus Christ, right?

We have Christians all over the world and they have different views on their own belief.

And there are Jesuits, some say Jesuits follow the original teachings of Jesus. But aren't Christians supposed to do that?

Is there a difference between Jesuits and Christians?

Make one wonder! right

There is a difference in Christians but if they are truly believers then they are part of body of Christ as far as i am concerned.

You are worrying to much about others I think. smile They will be taken care of.

Do some research and form your own conclusions.

1. careful or diligent search

2. studious inquiry or examination; especially : investigation or experimentation aimed at the discovery and interpretation of facts, revision of accepted theories or laws in the light of new facts, or practical application of such new or revised theories or laws

3. the collecting of information about a particular subject

Jesuits are the shock troops of the Vatican. And as I don't regard the Church of Rome as being essentially Christian (a bit of of it along with paganism and superstition) I would refute the comparison between Jesuit and Christian.Just to complicate things for you Thabotizz.

No, they are to follow the laws of Yahweh which are outlined in the OT.
As JC is Yahweh, it is redundant to say that christians are supposed to follow JC's teachings. Do you follow me?

Originally posted by Thabotizz:

Quite obviously, yes.
I wonder if the Jesuits are aware that JC is in fact Yahweh? The name Jesuit indicates that they worship JC and JC alone.

I agree with rjhowie. The Jesuits are tightly leashed by the Roman Catholic Church - the Roman Catholic Church follows too many pagan ideas to be true Christianity, although I am sure there are plenty of Catholics out there that truly believe in Jesus Christ. In my experience, Christians can be found in all churches, Protestant and Catholic, Seventh Day Adventists and other 'Christian' sects.

Once you give your life to Christ, it should only matter that you follow His teachings and remember to follow Christ, not the Churches. That way, you can be a true Christian without being labelled with a denomination.

Quote:

"The venerable biblical tradition of sacred Scripture, known as the Old Testament, displays a series of divine appellations, among which is the sacred name of God revealed in a tetragrammaton YHWH -- hwhw. As an expression of the infinite greatness and majesty of God, it was held to be unpronounceable and hence was replaced during the reading of sacred Scripture by means of the use of an alternate name: 'Adonai,' which means 'Lord.'

You are the sometimes dysfunctional poor wee boy who has to depend on others here and love to quote them. Can't stand on your own too feet yet? Obviously not. Try standing up for yourself instead of always thanking someone else or chumming up to them because of inadequacy. One hopes that by the time you are out of school (primary? secondary?) then you will have matured enough to speak for yourself and not be so in need of support and desperate to quote someone else. I am thankful you are so far away as having you as a neighbour would be a nightmare!
