color of visited links not changing on some sites
Hi. I'm using opera 10.10 on Arch linux. I have noticed that on some sites links that I visited do not change color. For example: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewforum.php?id=23I have the changed the color in Tools>Prefs>Webpages>visited link color , but that does not work. My guess is that this is a website related problem and I vaguely remember having fixed this problem in firefox awhile back. How can I fix this in Opera? Thanks.
Override the page's stylesheet. Opera's settings for colors only work when the page doesn't specify its own colors (or of course when you're in User mode and ignoring their stylesheet).
You'll notice your own link above is blue regardless of state (even if you've set unvisited links to green and visited to red, the link in your post is blue) because that's what the CSS says it should be.
You could specify your own CSS for that website (or for all websites), either changing only the link colors or changing lots of other things. Of course, you probably want to start small ...
