automatically put .nl .com etc behind url

I always just type wikipedia or something in opera, and it always automatically went to wikipedia.nl or the available site. But now I installed it on my laptop it puts it's into my standard search engine. So now I get google searching for wikipedia in stead of going to wikipedia.

Can I change this?

Yes & No...

Not sure if they plan on doing anything about this, but permanent or not, the easiest is to type "/" at the end of the URL.
Instead Of: wikipedia
Type: wikipedia/

I will try... but I have two systems running with opera... both the last version! One is working just like ever... and one has this problem...yikes

That' s why I think it also has to do something with the preferences... but I can't find it

still no solution for this?
gets irritating if let's say i want to go to hello.com, i used to be able to go there by just typing hello and pressing enter. now i have to either press ctrl+enter or let it search and then click on the link.

As someone mentioned, the only difference now is that you have to put a / after the word.
