10.53 compatible with mac OS 10.4.11?

i upgraded to 10.53 and now each time i log in i get an "application unexpectedly shut" message. i hit retry, get the same message, hit retry again and it opens.
i've re-installed 10.53 twice, with no different results.
any ideas, please?
thank you.

With 10.3.9 it doesn't even try to launch. This was supposed to be an update to a perfectly working installation, but a fresh install is the same. I've a backup of version 9.3, which runs, but I've lost all my settings and history. Anyone know where more recent previous versions can be downloaded?

Its kinda annoying, on opening the reinstalled old version to then be faced with a page encouraging one to install the broken new version, together with encouragement to make updates automatic.

Same here. PPC 10.4.11 with 1+ gig of RAM and 400MHz chip. Opera 10.5.3 crashes immediately on opening.

I deleted preferences and such and reinstalled.

Same thing.

I have the same problems and reported about the same time you did. I would think that there are plenty of MAC users and this issue would show up more

Same thing here. retry, retry, retry. Finally it will open.
Then the whole computer hangs whenever I try to do anything with the browser.
I have OSX 10.4.11 an a 500 MHz G4 laptop with a gig of ram.
The new 10.53 makes a mess of everything.
I wish there was a place to download previous versions.
I wish I would have saved a previous version so I could revert back.

Edit:
I found the place to download previous versions.

It runs "fine" on my setup under 10.4.11 - "fine" if you don't mind how slow it is. I stopped using it right away as it was glacial compared to the older one but it did run.

Same here. Safari runs circles around Opera 10.5x on my iBook G4.
