search box covers half the screen when in use
I just upgraded to 10.53.When I start typing a search in the little box next to the address bar, half my screen fills up with my choices of search engine.
Any way I can change that to a small box near the bar, or not have it pop up at all?

I had that problem when I updated one of the 10.5 betas to the released version of 10.50. A fresh install of 10.50 fixed it, and subsequent updates have been OK. I make nightly backups of my Opera profile, and mail, so this was a simple fix for me

I had this one when I upgraded. It is a custom skin issue caused by there being a new search box.
Right click that toolbar and choose CUSTOMIZE from the menu. Then choose RESET TOOLBAR TO ITS DEFAULTS.
You will now see a different search box on your toolbar, and back to being narrow and resizeable.
You will need to then retweak \ adjust your toolbar as per any custom changes you had previously made.
