Very strange... Opera's cache...

I am not really looking for a solution, just wanted to make a general comment.

I was wondering what was eating up all my free space, I couldn't nail it down. I checked everything. Over a period of several hours of surfing my Windows drive would give me the warning about low space, constantly.

So on a hunch, I ran CCleaner.

The Opera temp files were 18GB. Okay... 18GB. Not 180MB, not 1.8MB, or even 1.8GB. It was 18GB.

Anyone ever experience this?

I have seen upto 2 GB. Restart Opera to reduce cache size to allocated limit.

Thanx for the reply... But with every new Opera install or upgrade, one of the first things I do is set a cache and memory maximum.

Just one of those thongs I guess.

Isn't the default setting for the cache size pretty low? Less than 1gb for sure.

It's 20 mb. I've found Opera doesn't really obey the disk cache setting (my cache can grow to several GB), or the memory cache limit (my virtual memory goes up to like 1.2 GB) :/
