Why?
Or if you are only pretending, why?

I'm sick. That's my reason, and I'm sticking to it. Till tomorrow at least. Then I'll stop taking myself seriously.

Hey, that was just another silly topic after all.
It was borderline Daveski17's topic "Do Worms have a point?".

One at either end is the correct response.

I actually improvised on that one.
I forget the exact title, but it was something pointless like that.

No, I couldn't/can't think of the title of that thread, so I posted one of a similar nature.

That's so ageist. If someone my age made that sound, you'd think nothing of it, but because he has a few more years on him, you think he's in death throws!

Late 1940s combined with mid to late 1930s.
My personal theory is that my father hates airplanes because his city (Rotterdam) was bombed by the Luftwaffe when he was young. And perhaps all the planes flying to England and a couple of years later the same vice versa.

Both my parents were born in the chaos right after the war. I think in a time like that I'd have other things to do than producing dependants though.

All I know is that he starts talking about bazookas (or should I say anti-aircraft missiles) when planes fly over. Which in summer is fairly often. Tourists love the parachuting.

Probably, Berlin and surroundings were pretty much levelled and my fathers parents lived further north at the baltic coast which didn't fare that much better thanks to von Braun's lab being right next door
