mouse highlighting everything on opera browser
My mouse is highlighting everything on opera browser but not on internet explorer. Also the mouse clicks won't do anything.I tried restarting the computer to no avail. This forum page is working but my game site,itsyourturn.com and the scrabble solving page to help with the games are doing it all the time now.I can't play.I have to play on IE.It started out only doing it occasionally but tonight I can't even play.It starts happening right away.Originally posted by rhodeye:

Do you have Opera Dragonfly enabled? Select Menu O->Page->Developer tools->Opera Dragonfly - this should be unchecked.

What is dragon fly used for?The mouse cannot click on anything.
It is used by websites developers. - Especially for finding bugs and checking code (HTML, JavaScript) or layout positioning in CSS.
You can read some more here: http://dev.opera.com/articles/view/introduction-to-opera-dragonfly/ and here: http://www.opera.com/dragonfly/.
When it is turned on you should be able to see it on the bottom of the window (you can change it's size with mouse).
I find the degree of "motor control" required for selecting text with a mouse (particularly in tables), without overshooting, to be a problem. If I were suffering RSI or Parkinson's I guess it would be impossible.
I would far prefer an Opera option to use the shift and cursor keys for selecting text, as in most text editors and wordprocessor software. This would conform with usability guidelines, as well as being far more usable!
