No escape from Mobile view

I too am defeated by this so I thought I would start a new thread. The "mobile view" button in settings seems completely disabled. It is bad enough having to select "classic" every time you start Google, and only getting BBC as mobile, but now if you go to a news site like the Sun it opens as mobile view even if you enter tbe full-site page. Going into settings makes no difference.

It is definitely an Opera problem because I can get full pages whenever I like on Skyfire (which I know has other serious problems and makes me prefer Opera every time).

So are we doing something wrong or has the "mobile/classic view" option been disabled?

Some sites "browser sniff ". They see opera in the request header, and send you straight to the mobile site. This has become a problem on lap/desktops as well.

It seems to be getting worse.......in the past week no less than THREE sites I have normally visited and got full site are now only allowing the mobile version.

It's getting to the stage where instead of using "opera-unless-I-have-no-choice but to use Skyfire, I now end up having to use Skyfire as default unless I have no option due to its severe limitations.

If any developers are reading this, is there any way of masking Opera Mobile so it doesn't show as a mobile site? Having the mobile view button seems a total waste of time as things stand......down

A simple solution for the Opera developers:

When mobile view enabled issue the current user agent.
When disabled, use the Opera Desktop user agent avoiding the words 'phone', 'symbian', 'android', 'iphone' , 'maemo' or 'mobi'.
