Yet another Mac OS Tiger startup problem
There are no lack of posts similar to my problem, just a lack of answers to them.So I'll try again...
I had Opera 10.01 or 10.10 running in the past, on my PowerPC G4 500 MHz with Tiger 10.4.11.
Upgrading to 10.53 got me to a situation in which the Red O would pop into the Dock then quickly disappear.
Unfortunately, on trying to go back to 10.10 or 10.01, now both of them behave similarly on launch.
I have deleted various folders with "opera" in their name, on the assumption that an ancillary file was corrupted.
Any suggestions as to how to unravel this mess will be greatly appreciated.
Other files/folders to delete? Is there a log file that might say why Opera is going away?
