A couple of questions from a newbie..

Hey everyone. I just started using Opera and love it. There are a couple of questions I have though.
On other browsers I've been able to double-click a text box (such as a box where I'm going to enter my email login id) and when I double-click the words that I've typed in previously will drop down and I can choose whichever one I'm needing to use. It's handy if, for example, there are two people on the same computer using yahoo mail. That way you can just double-click, choose your sign-in name, then enter your password. That isn't happening for me in Opera and I'm just wondering if there is a setting I can change or if it just isn't an option on here.
ALSO, when I click on a speed dial site that is set up it always opens in the same tab. I'd rather it open in a new tab so I can have the speed dial tab open at all times. I've looked all over to try and change that but I can't figure out how to.
Thanks to anyone who helps me out with these! I already love Opera and fixing these two issues would make it perfect for me.

Hello and welcome to Opera.

Regarding your first question, Opera does not store previously typed words like previously searched words. If you simply wish to store frequently used information for quick access, you can use the Wand (Preferences(Ctrl+F12) -> Forms tab). Opera Wand does provide a convenient password manager.

Regarding the second question, press Shift while clicking to open the page in a new (foreground) tab and press Ctrl+Shift when clicking to open the page in a new background tab.

Hope that helps.

You can click it with your middle mouse button (scroll), to open it in a new background tab. It works for all links, and is very addictive.

PS. You can also close tabs the same way.

you can setup 1 email address per profile for the auto-fill in...
Ctrl - f12 -> Forms

then just start typing the email address and it pops up (or just press the down arrow key in that form)

That's not quite true. You can "set up" as many e-mail addresses as there are fields in Personal information to behave like that (note that you don't have to write your name in the Name field). There is only one field for E-mail that can be filled automatically when there's a form field called "email" on website.

Thanks everyone for your help! Now I have Opera set up pretty much perfectly for me so I'm happy. By the way, I just love clicking the scroll button on my mouse to open a new tab in the background. I never knew about that. Very handy for sure! Thanks again!

That's real clever - thank you.
