Need help with form input font

I realize that this has been brought up before, but I'd appreciate it if someone from Opera would please explain this behavior on a WM5 PDA with a 480x640 display. It is present in all 3 betas of OM 10, as well as the final release:

Notice that the form input font is much smaller while typing than it is once I've entered the text. Even the font face is different. This also affects text boxes in forum posts, and makes text entry very difficult.

Is this by design, and if so, why? Is there anything I can do to correct it? I've tried all the font settings in opera:config, but nothing has changed.

I'd really like to continue using OM 10, especially because I've given up on Mini 5. Mini's font was big enough (it matched my system font), but the frustrating text submission bug has finally driven me away from Mini altogether.

I'm bumping this to the top in hopes of getting an answer. How does one change the font size in a text input box (just like the one I'm entering text into to post this message) in Opera Mobile 10?

Currently the text is so small on my HTC HD2 that it's almost impossible to select text with my finger (it has a capacitive touch screen). I've change the settings in both the "font" and "user pref" sections, but it makes no difference. Is opera using some system font setting for the text box? If so, which one?

Thanks!

Nobody? I would think anyone with a high res, touch device would be running into the same problem. I'll try passing on the question to Opera support.

It's obvious that Opera 10 does something to the SIP. It ignores the auto-deploy settings. It really hates Swype. None of the edit functions such as double clicking to select a word, or most of the functions in the "edit" screen just don't work.

Why is that so? Why can't Opera 10 just interface with the SIP like every other program. What did Opera gain by making whatever non-standard changes they made?
