You don't export the accounts. You just copy your mail folder to a safe place. Then, you wipe both the local and roaming Opera profile folders for your current install. Then, when you reinstall Opera, you replace the mail folder with your backup and edit accounts.ini to fix any paths for your sig files).
In other words, the mail folder is already in a format that Opera needs. No need to export.
Note though, your login info for your mail accounts is stored in wand.dat. So you'll want to back that up and use it to replace the one in the new install at the same time your restore your mail folder into the new install. Otherwise, you'll be asked to enter your username/password for your mail accounts again.
Just make sure you do the messing with wand.dat and the mail folder while the new Opera is closed.
Also, for the adr file Opera produced when you exported your contacts, make sure you open the file with a text editor and remove all the m2indexid lines and save the changes before importing *if* you decide to not use your old mail folder with the new Opera install. Those id lines in there are only valid for the mail setup they were exported from.
