o10.10 is speedy compared with o9.6
I am a long time lover of opera browser and use it everyday. I'm using opera static version 9.6 (debian 32bit) until I feel the speed is not good when I browser some CSS/javascript heavy internal use company websites and internet websites. Since I tried 10.10 last week, I decided to switch back because of some minor issues such as wrong font/spacing when printing, it still lacks CJK printing support (although I can copy-paste to openoffice before printing). After 2 days switching back to 9.6, I decided to go back to 10.10 for its speed!! As I know 10.5 is even faster but it lacks CJK input and some other stability issue, so I'll wait for it. And I hope flash will work on that too.. It's painful to remote desktop to a win machine to just plays some facebook games. :-)

Download the version you want - if you dont want to mess with your settings, download the .tar.gz.bz2 version, unpack it wherewer you want and launch the opera executable from that folder - it will create a "profile" folder in that folder whwre you unpacked it, storing its settings/cache and whatnot in it - it will not interfere with the 10.10 settings.
But when I run .local/bin/opera-webm it shows an error:
/home/ron/.local/lib/opera-webm/opera-webm: symbol lookup error: /home/ron/.local/lib/opera-webm/opera-webm: undefined symbol: FT_Library_SetLcdFilter
Nothing comes up and process ended itself. Am I miss something? Which version of flash plugin is best for 10.5? (pls also provide the link, thx)
The latest test version is the following:
http://snapshot.opera.com/unix/snapshot-6340/
If still gives the error you should look it up in the forums, others too had reported that issue (may be solved in this snapshot though).

What version of Debian are you running? Lenny or older?
Note: We don't support distros that are not supported by their upstream vendor. Hence Lenny is the oldest version of Debian we are likely to support.

Etch n half. Would it means o10.10 is the last version for it? I tried Lenny when it first come up and few days later, I decided to switch back for some reason.
