Can Opera be taught to fast forward?

Hey all,
Does anyone know if Opera is capable of 'learning' to fast forward in a relatively straightforward way? I like the fast forward feature, but on many sites it doesn't know what the 'next' button looks like, so FF is useless, unless there's a way for me to tell Opera what the next page button looks like (which would be really nice...).

Thanks
-cb

Not automatically, but you can edit the "fastforward.ini" file that's located in ..\Opera\ui\* which is fairly straight-forward:
Item = Score/Weight

Where the score is how likely that it's actually the next page/item compared to other possible ones. Generally just use the "101" or no value at all.

Copy/paste that file to your ..\Profile\* (unless it already exists in your profile, then edit that one), then edit as you wish... or you should be able to leave it where it is, an edit it, sort of like a "global" settings.

It would be nice if it was more like Browser.js or something, where you could define FF variables by domain, rather than just "all or nothing", but I don't think it's possible.

Thanks for the help. I found out the issue was that the NYTimes had a ton of elements that were fast-forward-able, and the first on the list was log-in, so I just commented out the log-in part in fastforward.ini

Thanks a lot!

Nice encrypted message here - Firefox is useless, Opera is the best. If people see such one often (not realizing what it means - thinking it's e.g. about fast-forward feature wink) they would stop using Firefox, having in mind that everybody writes that FF is useless bigsmile.

Though FF abbreviation is used widely and is more popular than Fx.

8. How do I capitalize Firefox? How do I abbreviate it?

Only the first letter is capitalized (so it’s Firefox, not FireFox.) The preferred abbreviation is “Fx” or “fx”.
