Opera email, creating filters from...

After having looked for this option it seems there isn't an automatic way to do it. What I'm curious about is if when I create a new filter Opera can automatically use the sender as new filter rule. So far I've to manually copy the sender email and past it into the filter window.

Welcome to the My Opera community!

When you add someone to the contacts panel, its entry will become a filter that shows messages to and from that person (with the option to only show messages To or From via the View button on the mail toolbar).

When you have a message open, you can click the drop-down by the "from" address and choose "add contact" to automatically create one of these filters. You'll also see the "follow contact" option.

Those things should get you what you want.

Sorry for the long delay!
Thank you for your help, I was hoping for something like in Thunderbird, but a part of that I'm finding the filter idea really powerful and as far as I know a unique feature (other email clients don't have this feature...)
