Browser buttons and text have disappeared!

Using Windows XP; Opera 10.53 works fine in one user profile but another looks like this:

Tried changing 'Appearance' and renaming 'opera6.ini' and 'operaprefs.ini' to no avail. Any insights? Anybody? Thanks...
