Opera mini help install on 5130 xpressmusic can't install

I have a 5130 xpressmusic with a preloaded OM 4.2 in the browser button inside internet settings.

I tried installing the OM 5 but it says "Check Internet settings"

I tried to change the Name Opera Mini inside the manifest.mf to Opera Mini 5.

And I restored to factory settings because i thought it supposed to work.

But when I tried it again all I can see is Installing word with a non moving progress bar and a blinking G or E in the upper right corner.

Before all of those, I previosly installed eBuddy but it can't install. It saya check java setting.

I've checked everything. GPS, contacted our hotline of my service provider, I can't find Java Settings. I can still surf on my OM 4.2.

How can I delete the previous OM? Where to find the java settings?

Any help appreciated.

You should probably post your query in that thread.
I haven't had this issue but I've seen several such threads about issue with series 40 handsets that have proxy internet settings and need to create a prov. file to be able to use Opera Mini.
I guess someone with a PC could make it for you.

I can create a .prov file but the problem was that I can't find The port number, APN and some info I can't remember.

How can I find it?

Ask your network operator.
Opera Mini 5.1 and Opera Mobile 10 on Nokia 5230 Series 60 5th Edition.
Opera 10.63 on Windows 7 Ultimate.

You have to do some research. Start with these online databases of operator settings:
http://www.opera.com/mobile/help/connect/
http://www.ebuddy.com/mobilebeta/support.php?task=setting#settings
http://www.nimbuzz.com/en/help/operator_settings
http://www.nav4all.com/site2/www.nav4all.com/eng/gprs_listcountries.php
If none of those have settings that work try doing a Google search for "<Operator Country> GPRS Settings", i.e. MTN South Africa GPRS Settings.

Try to change the midlet-name to Opera Mini 5 inside the MANIFEST.MF file. Here's how...

1. Download via your computer ( use the .jar file. For .jad just open with notepad )
2. Open the .jar file using WinRAR
3. Open folder Meta-inf
4. Open Manifest.mf with notepad
5. Change the Midlet-name to Opera Mini 5 instead of Opera Mini
6. Save. Transfer it to your phone and hope it works.

I did it! Thanks! I tried a site that creates a .prov site I entered the Apn, IP, and port no. And I send it to my phone via bluetooth and it works!

I'll post the link of the .prov generator.

And this reply is entirely typed on my 5130 xm!

Thanks to all!

And if your lucky I'll post the link of the Proxy. For Globe Telecoms Philippines...
