Virgin Mobile LG Rumor Touch.

When accessing m.opera.com it detects my device as vm510 and shows my compatible browser as the latest one. However when clicking the link to DL it I get an access denied. Suggestions?

Since this is a Virgin Mobile USA device, you can only install Opera Mini from http://m.opera.com/virgin .

I was able to get Opera Mini 4 to install from Virgin's default browser start page. Still unable to get Opera Mini 5 to install, I posted on answers.yahoo.com and received this response, that worked perfectly:

type this link on your Rumor Touch, http://www.opera.com/mobile/download/versions/

select what version>Opera Mini 5> and hit "View Download Link"

When selecting what file to download, click on the ".jad" file and you're done!

Are there plans for Virgin Mobile USA and Opera to "officially" support Opera Mini 5 on such devices like Rumor 2 and Kyocera Loft? The link posted is for Opera Mini 4.2.

Hi,

I'm 'replying' to this post because the start a new topic feature just bounces me back to the I'm logged in page......

Anyway, I have Mini 5 or 5.1 on my LG Rumor Touch (lg vm510) and it works! However, when I download images (.jpg)
or video from websites, the phone can't find the downloads. They are there inphone, the memory use reflects that.

In the Mini tools->Downloads the files I downloaded are displayed but the only option Mini offers is to delete
them.

Any suggestions how I can get the phone or Mini to access these downloads?

Thanks in advance,

the problem you are experiencing with rumor is due to rumors file system..opera is saving the files just fine..and they are there..you just cant access them..if you notice in rumor..each file has a system of identifying it on the phone..if any file isnt marked a certain way..the phone ignores it..more dummying down by virginmobile..dump the rumor and get the blackberry or xtc..both show entire file system and allow saving..with correct opera install..meaning..not the dummied down crap opera and vm try to push off on you...you pay for unlimited acess..not some censored bullsh*t...atleast thats my take on it.
