Wishlist for Mobile: ergonomy tweaks
Opera for Mobile is globally great. I have a couple of peeves though:- on the newer mobiles (I've got an HD2), some interface elements are hard to click because they're too small.
- We need a "receive only" Opera Link option.
- Also, Opera Link seems to try and connect every time I launch Opera. Since I don't have a data plan, the way I use Opera is mainly with offline browsing of pre-loaded sites. I had to disable Link (and Turbo) to stop annoying pop ups assaulting me everytime I launch Opera. Link and Turbo should check ONCE upon launch if I'm connected, and leave me alone if I'm not.
- I'd rather the "Open in New Tab" choice that appears after a long "click" on a link were "Open in Background Tab" instead. The way I browse, I've got a home page with oodles of RSS feeds, which I quickly scan for interesting stuff. On the desktop, I middle-click all the interesting links, then move on to reading them. I'd like to do the same on my mobile, more so since loading and rendering times are much higher. Right now, Opera Mobile keeps taking me from my perfectly usable Main Page to a still-unvailable one, and I've got to switch back and suffer a bit of re-rendering... bother !
Best Regards, and thanks for a very nice mobile browser,
Olivier
