Enlarge reply box

Hello. I'm a huge Opera fan from more than 3 years, but I had a chance to test Chrome some days and I found it much slower than Opera, in youtube videous, browsing and in browser test like sunspider. But I found a great advantage which I like it very much and I want to see it in Opera. I think this will make to take a huge advantage, because only Chrome have that, neither Firefox or IE.

The advantage is on forums, blogs ect, where are reply boxes. Sometimes the box is so little and you want to write much more, and a larger box will help you. But Chrome has found the solution:

Right now, that box in Opera is like in the next picture:

There is any possibility to have in the next Opera version this little enlarger ? Please ?

Opinions ? Suggestions ?

Do you want the enlarger in Opera browser ?

Yes, its a nice feature, but it could be implemented better simply by expanding if you type more text instead of showing a scroll bar.

The user script doesn't seem to work for me. I have saved it in O:\Opera\scripts, enabled javascript, and pointed to that path in Preferences, Content, Javascript options.

@wyldkat: Is working here, but Pesala's idea is better bigsmile Automatic resize when the you write more. Also, directly included in Opera.

Check the script serious has posted. Set the options to Auto and it works just like that.

For me, simpler is better. That's why I'm using the one I posted earlier. It does the job nicely. (pretty similar with Chrome's buit-in feature).

Well, that's up to you, if you resize it more than you should, it will destroy page layout.

I'm already using it, but the big problem is everytime I need to check that box, because the "Auto" is disabled on each refresh. But anyway...is ok.

So on some websites I can't write too much in text field not to destroy page layout (because of automatic textarea sizing)? faint

Yes, daroc is right. Having it be automatic is mind-numbingly stupid..

yes, is true, but there can be only height resize, not width. Anyway, the 2 scripts posted above works perfectly smile

I had this skin since eons ago. The only downside it is that you will need to press and hold shift. If you take that off than anything you hover over has the resizable area (very hard to click little images with).

If only it was active for the text boxes.
