Middle click in drop-down bookmark menu to open in a new tab

The middle mouse button is totally useless in the dropdown bookmark menu.

The function to open the bookmark in a new tab would be useful and would help people (like me) who used chrome, firefox before.

Hold shift when clicking, and ctrl to open it in the background.

Preferences, Tabs, and uncheck "Reuse current tab."

I'm not working with a keyboard when i'm browsing? It's a easy new feature which does not block any active feature out.

The question is: Why not? A lot will have fun with it, no one will be disappointed.

Not to mention the ability to right-click a bookmark in the drop-down menu to access options (rename, delete, etc.) for it as if you were in the bookmark manager. I am not an Opera developer, so I don't know (and couldn't find in a quick search) the reasons why the developers don't want to implement it. I get the feeling it's a performance issue that would be raised by such a large change to the inner-workings of the menu, but do not know.
