My suggestion for the new Menu button
I just installed Opera 10.60 (3400) and I want to give a little feedback for the new approach to displaying the Menu button. I think it's suitable for new users, but I liked it better in the previous versions. So my suggestion is to leave it like it is in the default installation, but to make it prone to Toolbar Style (Images only, Text only, Images and text below [..]), thus making the mini toolbar subject to change like, for example, the address bar. I already saw people discussing this, so here's a topic in the right place.Loyal Opera user saying NO to Opera 15.
Opera Mobile 16 & Opera Mobile 16 beta & Opera Mobile 12.1 & Opera Mini 7.5 on Samsung Galaxy Nexus
Opera Mobile 12 & Opera Mini 7 on Nokia E51
Opera 10.52 b.3394···Java(TM) Platform 6 U19 ···Windows 7 HP [64-bit]···INTEL Core2Duo E6600···4Gb RAM···ASUS P5Q SE Plus··UPC Broadband Fibre Plus 120Mbps Cable Internet···Arris Touchstone TM402B/CE···NOD32 Anti Virus···Point of View GeForce GT 240 512MB GDDR5
But you can hide the "Menu" text for yourself.
Open your Opera application folder and /locale/en/en.lng file (or your language specific file).
Search for this number: 606160820
Change the text next to it from "Menu" to simply ""
Save it, restart Opera. (Alternatively you can save the .lng file to a new file, then you must select this new file in the Preferences / General / Language section)

Any plain text editor which can save files with UTF-8 encoding - e.g. Windows' Notepad.

I will not like to live with it however, because of the way my Opera looks now:

So that's why I don't want the OMenu button to be too wide.

Oh, right, the additional "Menu" won't be nice if added according to how your browser looks now.

really not argument - especially for you - those who are having tabs "on top" are loosing valuabel space - you dont^^

No - it would make a place for displaying a page sth like 30 pixels narrower! Note that Previous, Next, Stop/Refresh, Trash buttons are NOT on the Address bar.

With "Menu" text: http://files.myopera.com/Saskatchewan/opera/TabBarOMenu10.60.png
Without "Menu" text: http://files.myopera.com/Saskatchewan/opera/TabBarOMenu.png
And yes, it's even worse when tabs are on top.

That would be nice.

Like Pesala said - if menu toolbar was listed on the Appearance dialog it would not bring so much confusion for new users (I think). The Menu Button, on the other hand, should behave like any other button.
